High Quality Professional
Development

The Missouri Council for History Education specializes in offering high quality professional development opportunities for history and social studies educators. We sponsor an annual conference, a Visiting Scholars Program, workshops and personalized professional development for teachers or entire districts.

Mission Statement

The Missouri Council for History Education, an independent statewide organization,

  • Encourages and promotes the development and implementation of effective history curricula

  • Works to advance professional collaboration among history educators at all levels of education

  • Organizes an annual conference of history educators designed to promote the mission of the organization

  • Supports the principles of the National Council for History Education

 

MOCHE is a 501(c) non-profit organization whose mission is to support effective teaching in Missouri social studies classrooms. We are a professional organization whose members include K-12 teachers, university professors, professional historians, and education leaders from across the state.
