To Whom It May Concern,

My name is Adam Bieniek and I am the staff director for the Albert H. Small Normandy Institute. The Institute provides the opportunity for a teacher (high school or middle school) and a rising junior or senior high school student (selected by the teacher) the opportunity to study in Washington, DC, and the Normandy region of France during the summer. We are still accepting applications until December 7, and would like to pass along information about our program to your members through your state council. Here is a short blurb about the program, with a link to our website, which you are welcome to share with your members.

The Albert H. Small Normandy Institute is now open for applications. Fifteen student-teacher teams will be selected to participate in an extraordinary learning experience. Learn about an individual from your hometown who died in the D-Day Campaign of 1944 and about World War II through readings, on-line discussions, and, from June 15 through June 28, 2019, sessions at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., in Normandy, and in Paris. The Institute will pay for all course materials, meals and lodging (double occupancy) on the GW Campus and in France, and travel to France. It will also reimburse the cost of airfare to Washington, D.C. up to $300. The Institute is accepting applications now through December 7. For more information and to apply, please visit https://www.ahsni.com/.

Thanks for considering sharing information about this special opportunity with your membership. Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any questions.

Best,

Adam Bieniek
